3 Travel Shows to Check Out During Lockdown

Here in the UK, we’re almost one week in to a month-long lockdown. And as the nights continue to draw in and the weather turns colder, it’s the perfect opportunity to catch up on some TV shows and films that have probably been on your Netflix/Amazon Prime watchlist for a million years. Here’s 3 Travel Shows you need to check out this November!

World’s Toughest Race: Eco-Challenge Fiji

Okay so this isn’t necessarily a travel show. But it takes place in the gorgeous country of Fiji and showcases some of the most insane geographical features the Islands have to offer. Presented by the legend that is Bear Grylls, World’s Toughest Race follows 66 teams from across the world who compete in an insane adventure race. Racing over mountains, across oceans and through wild jungles, the teams face 11 days of next to no sleep to cross 671 kilometres of some of the most rugged and rural landscapes in the world. If you’re an adventure lover, this is 100% the show for you.

The Kindness Diaries

So The Kindness Diaries follows this guy called Leon who is travelling round the world, relying solely on the kindness of strangers for food, accommodation and gas. One of my favourite things about this show is that it reminds us that although the world can seem like a big scary place, there are still people out there with huge hearts who go above and beyond to help others. Along his journey, Leon meets some of the most incredible people with some of the most amazing stories, and transforms their lives by giving out some life changing gifts!

Dark Tourist

New Zealand filmmaker David Farrier heads to some of the most unique – and dark – places in the world. From exorcisms in Mexico to forbidden cities in Cyprus, this docuseries takes you to some crazy places which will peak the interests of any tourist!
